Legal Weed Debuts in Colorado

On January 1, 2014 Colorado made history when it opened the first recreational marijuana stores in the America.  Adults ages 21 and up with a valid government photo ID were allowed to visit any of the state's 24 shops; a number which has since grown to over 40.  Customers waited for hours to purchase what is certainly some of the most expensive weed in the country - over $125 for a quarter of an ounce!

Despite the high taxes, this is certainly a step in the right direction. The series of images below were captured by us on the first in Denver.
